Op-er-a-tion

Our Bop-It Grogu wasn't working anymore, or rather
its voice was breaking up. Usually Tom attempts to fix things
like this, but I thought I could figure it out.

 

The culprit: a broken speaker wire!
It was a bit hard stripping each end of this tiny
wire and then twisting the tiny strands together, 
but in the end...

Bop-It Grogu is fixed!

2003 Ford F150

Sold the Ford this week, sad to see this old truck go.

Gave it one last wash.

Whistle while you work

To add a bit of drama to the sale, the truck's fuel pump died
the day before we were supposed to turn the truck over! 
Pushed the sale back by a week, and Tom and Kimo fixed it all up, replacing the pump. So glad that it broke before we actually
sold it, because Tom sold it to a friend and said friend
wouldn't have been too happy if the truck broke down right
after the sale!  The truck died at church, so the sign was intended to inform folks about why the truck was sitting in the garage.

Goodbye, old friend.

 

Thanksgiving Food and Gratitude

Tried a Cajun-style turkey from Popeyes for Thanksgiving
-it was super good!

Gratitude tree-once we got rolling on writing down our 
blessings, it was hard to stop!

Blessings of note:

Tom is always so sweet to me~

Kimo left his wallet on top of the spare tire of Blue and then
forgot it there! He didn't drive too far with it balanced on the tire,
just from church to home, but it could have fallen off so easily
and it didn't. Add to that the fact that his wallet also sat out all night!
 A very tender mercy from the Lord!  
Gratitude to the Lord!

Too Many Toppings

This is what happens when we make our own pizzas at home:
cheese, onions, tomatoes, sausage and a
whole lotta mushrooms-kind of scary.

The pizza was defeated.

 

All Kinds of Emi Art

Emi has liked to draw ever since she was able to hold a pencil and whatever she draws, she draws in copious amounts!  When she was in elementary school, Emi went through a long phase where she drew oodles of butterflies and cats.  I cut out each little butterfly and cat and then mounted a bunch of them on a piece of black cardstock. Had enough little drawings to give 

both pairs of grandparents a set and keep a set for ourselves.

Here I challenged Emi to draw her stick people without repeating a pose.  I really like her stick people!---(I like the one dabbing on the bottom of the page!)   She was going to throw away this practice sheet, but I kept it.

Emi is also witty and we have an accordion file that is full of the many cards she has drawn for different occasions.  I'd like to get them printed up one day.

 

Feeding the Missionaries

Missionaries needed to be fed lunch at their two-day conference.
