5th Sunday Drive-In

Due to a ward's ward-wide training, our Stake Primary was
asked to cover their Primary.
But how to manage 35-40 children for an hour?
A tried and true drive-in seemed to be the answer
to keep the children happy and contained!

These kids were soooooo well behaved; it brought a tear to my eye!

Ready for the kids!

The lesson focused on Jesus, that He went about doing good
and that we can too, if we notice other people and their needs.

Kimo's hands were flying on the keyboard as our tech person.

"Lessons I Learned as a Boy", is one of my favorite church videos.
It teaches many things, such as knowing that our choices
affect other people, praying to God with thanks,
feeling the good feeling of the Spirit, self governance, etc.
Such a good video and I love Pres. Hinckley!
And Tom's projector made the video so large on the wall!  Super fun!

Maybe too big? Ha, no!

My whole family must have raised their arm to the square when I got called to the Stake Primary! They help me so much and give me feedback when I talk and talk about ideas for Primary.
Is Kimo raising his arm to the square again? Nah, he's just waving!

Wish I could show the kids' faces, they were just beaming!

Who knew sitting in a box could be so fun?
Notice the Little Trees air freshener in the car
on the right! So cute!

This truck is nicer than my car!

Plenty of room to relax in this car!

Another fine group effort with my counselors and my family!
It feels good to consecrate my all to the Lord!

Can hardly believe this was 20 years ago!

I can't even remember the particulars about this deployment.  I do remember that it was always so good to go meet Tom at the airfield and welcome him safely home.

Emi was especially impatient for Tom to make his appearance,
as you can tell by her body language and facial expression!
Look how little she is! She was three here, I believe.
The squadron's return was always quite dramatic since they would fly in
in formation with a crowd waving and cheering, waiting for them!

That flight vest is pretty heavy!

Surfers

One good thing about living close to the beach is that we don't have to invest a whole day, "Going to the beach". Most often we just go to watch the sunset and the surfers do their thing, then we go on home.
Hardly enough time to even get sand in our shoes!
But plenty of time to enjoy seeing the beauty of God's creations.

OB Drone Show

As seen from our place

4th of July at the Sub Base

Decided to come back to the sub base for a 4th of July picnic.
Very quiet, relaxing spot with just a few families sharing
the beach.  Can't beat the weather; a little cool in the shade, just right in the sun.

Tom put his toes in the water!

Hamburgers, chips, chocolate pie and lemon/passion fruit bars-so good!

Kimo was the only one of us to get in and swim.

Brrr!

Tom sparkles!

Comorant taking a snooze.

Visited our shark buddy again on the rocky, bay side.

Two different sand castle styles.  This one is low to the ground.

This one is in the style of Chichen Itza-good job, I thought!

Can always recognize Tom b/c of his sexy, broad shoulders!
