Forgotten Souvenir

Half joking, half serious, I requested a souvenir from a friend going to Dubai on business. I forgot all about it until I found this on my front porch!

Kura

It's been a looooong time since we've been to Kura.
I think the last time we ate here was during Covid,
because remember we had to eat outside under tents!
Brought Kimo here for a farewell lunch; he leaves for school soon.

Going to miss you, Son!

I call these gin doi, but they go by several names,
sesame balls being one of them, although these are
not ball shaped since I squished them to let out some steam.
They were smokin' hot!

Kimo made up a new word to go along with hangry (hungry+angry)
and that is hupset (hungry+upset).
We know both of these feelings well in our family.

Spicy sushi taco and they were spicy!

Crunchy hand roll

Kimo has a sushi twinkle in his eyes!

Spicy popcorn shrimp roll

Water spider and blob of wasabi-spicy seems
to be the theme for the day!

Cantata Cookies

Made a batch of cookies to be served as refreshments for after our Cantata.

Had some leftover dough and made one giant cookie!

Kimo ate it!

Christmas Card

Had a lot of fun making our Christmas cards with my Cricut machine.

In Cricut Design Space it was easy to alter an envelope
template to fit my card.

And Cricut's print-n-cut feature made the text easy to print, cut and apply.
Text is from one of the Alfred Burt carols, "This Is Christmas".

Even the Christmas Star was designed by manipulating triangle
shapes then welding them together.

I did not design this Holy Family cutout, but I did
enlarge the star cut out and add the sparkle circle.

A little tea light makes the card glow!

Thanks Cricut!

Miscellaneous Moments

Got together with some friends for lunch and a white elephant gift exchange.
I love these lunches because we all talk as fast as we can,
catching up with each other.  I love these Sisters!

Robyn got an insulated cup with a snack compartment on top!

Mary Ellen and Leann both got chip clips! Funny!

Spied this hubcap with hearts-I'd love to have these on my car!

Shhhhh!  Kimo made Tom a Jeep grill keyring and a
set of duck-shaped tire valve caps for Christmas!

I was quite pleased with the display the Colina del Sol Ward made to
showcase their Primary aged children!  Very creative!

Our ward had the Christmas party last week,
Kimo and I were more worker bees than partyers,
but it felt good to help out.

Kyle had a great Santa beard!  He and Leann make a cute couple!

Taking a break in the kitchen

Serving pie with a spatula!

Decorations were pretty

I took some time this week to clean out the church
nursery closet-It sure needed it!
Behold the organization!
