Glowing Temple

The temple glowed in the fog the other night.
It was so pretty and Tom waited for me while
I stepped out of the car to take pictures,
which was fun, because I was not the only one!
Several folks were doing the same thing,
including the two in my picture!  Temple sealings
are so fun to do with Tom; very nice hearing the
same words we were sealed with and at the
same time helping out these families, some of
whom passed long ago.

To Suit or Not to Suit...

Tom got called to be second counselor in our
Ward's Bishopric, which is a nice thing.  The only
semi-complaint he had was that he doesn't like
wearing suits!  I think he looks nice in one!
Sorry I cut your head off, honey!

Kimo actually got his suit several
months ago, but never really felt like
wearing it until Tom wore his.  Both
these guys look smooth and handsome
in their suits and Kimo looks so
grown up for 14!  He definitely is a young man!

Not for the Squeamish...

Tom hurt his hand using the table saw when the wood

kicked back and pulled his hand across the saw blade-ouch!



Wrapped up, pre-surgery, waiting in the
emergency room.  They took Tom in the back
more quickly than normal.  Guess they didn't
want him bleeding all over the place.

About two weeks post surgery

Successful pin removal-thought Tom was
going to jump out of his chair at one point,
it hurt him so much.  Poor Tom!

No bending of the thumb for two weeks, Tom!

Tom has been through a lot~I love him

The Bridges Mansion

This mansion was built by one of the

descendants of the inventor of the ball bearing.

Two sisters inherited it and divided the house in half

and made the one mansion into two separate houses.

Emi and I went to the estate sale held here and took

pics around the house.  I like the extra wide doorways that

someone informed me were built wide to

accommodate coffins which were laid in state in

the homes back then.

 

 

I bought this cool crocheted doiley.

Emi's Cell Model Pillow

Emi made this pillow all by herself, I just sewed up the opening
left from stuffing the pillow; good job Emi girl!
