Temple Walk 2023

Wanted the children to have fun on the Temple Walk and to learn three things. One, that Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ love them, two, to keep their focus on Jesus Christ now and three, that they have the ability to attain the highest degree of glory through Jesus Christ and their own choices.

This was a real group effort-thanks to all!

Tasha got us rolling by hosting giant Jenga and welcoming everyone.

Pres. Beesley talked about the Plan of Salvation.

Kids held props that illustrated the Plan of Salvation.

The hopping game was fun for the kids, the course got battered!

Kimo and Pres. Beesley illustrated conflict, contention and being a peacemaker through the language of arm wrestling; they did a good job!

Amy's son, Keaton, helped out a lot this year!

I'm grateful to Heavenly Father that everyone was safe on this Temple Walk and hope that the kids remember to choose Jesus Christ and His ways.

Easter Music and the Spoken Word

We all like to attend Music and the Spoken Word when passing
thru SLC.  It's thrilling to hear the choir and orchestra live and 
interesting to see the workings of the show that you aren't able to
see on TV.

We like sitting on the balcony and by chance sat next to the spouse of
a member of the choir.  He told us things about being in the choir that we didn't know and said that he attended choir performances as often as he could.

Seven Magic Mountains

Last year when we visited this art, the bottom boulders had graffiti on them, but this year they look like they have been freshly painted.

 

Vegas Bellagio-Thanks, Tom!

Tom treated us to a stay at The Bellagio Hotel.
We stayed here once before and learned some lessons,
such as don't touch the drinks and snacks provided in
the room.  Sensors are placed so that if you do touch or move 
them you are charged for them!  Crazy!
Lovely tile work, however!

Our room had a spectacular view, but it took for.ev.er 
to get to it down this looooong hallway.  After a long day
of walking around Vegas, this hallway seemed so very long.
