Youth Doings

Just a few things the kids have been doing this summer...

 

 

YW took an intro to scuba class with my neighbor, Steve.

Kimo and scouts in the San Diego area attended
Zion's Camp, geared toward LDS campers.

On another camp, Kimo helps some of the younger
campers hiking.

Kimo packed in a steak and asparagus dinner.

At the scout fair, Kimo's troop made ice cream using
liquid nitrogen (I think).

Emi and the youth made a temple trip

Said goodbye to our turtle, Ollie (female).
No one paid much attention to Ollie anymore  
at our house, so we gave her away on Craig's List.
Her new family says that the kids love her!

Got season passes to Aquatica, the former
Soak City water park bought by Sea World.
 

Tom painted the troop's new fire cans.
He did a nice job and made the stencil himself!
Each tent is supposed to have a can of water
or sand right outside the door, so Tom painted
up nine cans.

Begging pelicans hoping for some leftovers
from fishermen cleaning their fish.

Taught the girls at church how to make
(and eat!) Texas Sheet Cake-it's
so gooooooood!

Girls' Camp Pictoral

Girls' Camp was held in a new-to-us camp which

turned out to be a very nice! The church purchased

the camp and is in the process of improving it and

the girls had a good time with the activities offered there.

Dessert Auction 2013

Dessert auction had a western theme,
this year, hence Tom being on
the "Wanted" poster!

I had fun making western silhouettes
